Unlocking Prosperity: My Experience at The Power Network in Orlando

After an incredible journey through Brazil, I made a strategic stop in Orlando, Florida, to attend one of the most powerful networking events for Brazilians worldwide—Poder do Network, hosted by Bruno Avelar. This event, held at the Hyatt Convention Center on International Drive, gathered over 3,000 entrepreneurs, mentors, and visionaries, all focused on one thing: growth.

I had the privilege of meeting and interviewing some of Brazil’s most influential figures, including Pablo Marçal, Bruno Avelar, Cláudia Avelar, Carol Marçal, Thiago Fonseca, and Thiago Nigro, among many others. The energy in the room was electrifying, fueled by powerful conversations about entrepreneurship, mindset, and the art of networking.

As part of my ongoing mission with Prospera, I conducted my signature interview—asking leaders one simple but profound question: "What is prosperity for you, in one word?" The answers were fascinating. Each person, shaped by their own journey, had a different perspective on prosperity. Some associated it with freedom, others with family, some with faith, and many with impact. The responses reaffirmed something I deeply believe: there is no single definition of prosperity. It is a reflection of our values, priorities, and life experiences.

While financial success is a crucial part of prosperity, it is not the only measure. At this event, I saw firsthand how some people prioritized wealth creation, while others focused on purpose, community, or even personal growth.  During my stay, I was welcomed into the home of two dear friends, Loiane and Pericles, who had recently welcomed their newborn son, Zyon. Seeing their journey of relocating from London to the U.S. three years ago and thriving in the construction industry was a testament to the boundless opportunities in Florida.

As I explored Orlando, I met several other Brazilians who had moved to the U.S. in pursuit of a better life. Some were working in construction, while others had scaled their businesses to multi-million-dollar ventures. One of the most inspiring individuals I interviewed was Fernando Legacy, a Brazilian entrepreneur in the solar energy sector. His success story, along with those of many others in tech, real estate, and investment, reinforced a fundamental truth: success is a combination of vision, persistence, and the right connections.  One of the key takeaways from Poder do Network was that networking is not just about meeting people—it’s about adding value. A successful networker doesn’t just look for what they can gain but asks: "What do I have to offer?" In a room full of high achievers, the real winners were those who had built authentic relationships based on mutual support and shared goals.

I left Orlando with a renewed sense of purpose, countless new connections, and a deeper understanding of how networking is truly the bridge to opportunity. Whether in Brazil, the U.S., or anywhere in the world, the key to unlocking prosperity lies in the people you surround yourself with and the value you bring to the table. This trip was more than just an event—it was a powerful lesson in growth, opportunity, and the limitless potential of human connection.

If you want to accelerate your journey toward success, invest in relationships. Attend events. Engage in conversations. Offer value before you ask for it. And always remember: your network is your net worth.
